Galena Park North Shore DT Tony Bradford (6'0, 240) had a great view of the game-winning Hail Mary pass from QB Dematrius Davis to WR Ajani Carter that propelled the Mustangs to a 6A DI state title win.

"That was nobody but God, nobody but God," Bradford said of the 41-36 win.

"God was with us the whole night. I was on my knees praying that we would come out on top. We're number one!"

Bradford was picked up a huge honor when he was named the Houston Touchdown Club Defensive Player of the Year.

"That was an honor when I got it," Bradford reported. "My teammates supported me. My community supported me."

Bradford is a commitment to Texas Tech, but he did not sign in the early period.

"I had to focus on my teammates," Bradford explained about how he handled the early signing period that falls on the week of the championship games.

"And it worked out in my favor. It worked out in our favor."

Bradford also has offers from schools like Arizona, Colorado State, Purdue, Rice, Utah State, Washington State, and more.

Bradford could play a few defensive positions at the next level, but all he cares about is helping his team collect wins.

"As long as I am playing defense I don't care where they put me," Bradford stated. "Whatever the coaches decide I will be good with it."

"I have been looking at Ed's (Ed Oliver) highlights, Khalil Mack highlights, JJ Watt, Jadeveon Clowney highlights. I try to model my game after them, so I look up to all of them."
