Jonathan McGill (5'9, 175) from Coppell has just announced his verbal commitment to SMU.
“I love the opportunity that it provides for me academically and athletically,” McGill said.
“The idea of building something great is very intriguing.”
McGill picked the Mustangs over offers from schools like Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and Stanford.
“Staying close to home is a big plus,” McGill reported. “They always believed in me ever since my freshmen year.”
McGill likes that SMU is a school that has been there with him since the very beginning.
The current Cowboys standout is looking forward to joining forces with some of the area’s other top recruits, who have also made verbal commitments to SMU.
“The opportunity to play with TJ (McDaniel), Rashee Rice, and Brandon Crossley makes me very excited,” McGill said.
