Week 7 Mr. Texas Football Player of the Week — Freer QB Librado Carrillo
Buckaroos QB takes home statewide honors for Week 7 of the 2016 Texas high school football season.
Congratulations to Freer QB Librado Carrillo, the Week 7 winner of the Mr. Texas Football Player of the Week award, presented by Wells Fargo in conjunction with the Advocare V100 Texas Bowl. The 5-9, 180-pound senior ran for 484 yards and ten touchdowns in the Buckaroos’ 86-61 win over Three Rivers.
Buckaroos fans can also be praised for their part in this honor, as they voted often enough to make sure that Librado received the most votes in the poll on TexasFootball.com.

Every Monday at noon, TexasFootball.com will announce ten candidates for that week’s award, based on the previous week’s on-field performance. Fans can vote online at TexasFootball.com’s online poll, where you can see the current vote standings. Voting will close at noon each Friday, with the winner announced on DCTF Live at 12:30pm.
