Week 5 Mr. Texas Football Player of the Week — DeKalb RB JaQuan Jackson

Bears senior TAKES HOME STATEWIDE HONORS FOR WEEK 5 OF THE 2017 TEXAS HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL SEASON.

Congratulations to DeKalb RB JaQuan Jackson, the Week 5 winner of the Mr. Texas Football Player of the Week award, presented by Wells Fargo in conjunction with the Advocare V100 Texas Bowl. The 6-1, 175-pound senior ran for 387 yards and eight touchdowns in the Bears’ win over New Diana.

Bears fans can also be praised for their part in this honor, as they voted often enough to make sure that JaQuan received the most votes in the poll on TexasFootball.com.
