Week 4 Winner: Muleshoe QB Jared Skipworth

Muleshoe quarterback Jared Skipworth has posted stellar numbers each week this season, but he had his biggest performance last week in an impressive win over Borger.

Skipworth completed 19 of 29 passes for 409 yards and six touchdowns as the Mules turned a potential nailbiter into yet another blowout victory, 52-26. Skipworth was selected by TexasFootball.com readers as the state's Player of the Week in online voting.

The win helped Muleshoe improve to 5-0 on the season. The Mules are ranked No. 7 in Texas Football's Class 2A state rankings.

For the season, Skipworth has already passed for 1,376 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also has rushed for 219 yards.

 

Week 4 Candidates:

LaDarius Anthony, Kilgore RB: Rushed for 363 yards and 5 TDs in a 38-24 win over Palestine.

Matt Broussard, Lindale QB: Rushed for 295 yards and 4 TDs in a 43-33 win over Pittsburg.

Josh Dorman, Birdville QB: Passed for 553 yards and 7 TDs in a 63-28 win over Azle.

Andy Erickson, Lake Travis RB: Caught 6 passes for 189 yards and 4 TDs and scored a rushing TD in a 56-31 win over Killeen.

Chris Hipps, Highland Park WR: Caught 11 passes for 259 yards and 1 TD in a 56-35 win over Carrollton Newman Smith.

Jacob Morgan, Austin High QB: Passed for 382 yards and 3 TDs in a 36-24 win over Pflugerville Connally.

Jared Skipworth, Muleshoe QB: Passed for 409 yards and 6 TDs in a 52-26 win over Borger.

John Steed, Del Rio RB: Rushed for 268 and 3 TDs in a 41-18 win vs. Laredo Alexander.

Trey Williams, Spring DeKaney RB: Rushed for 375 yards and 4 TDs in a 47-39 win over Houston Westfield.

Jeremy Woodson, Fort Bend Hightower DB: Blocked a punt and returned two blocked punts for TDs in a 30-5 win over Fort Bend Austin.
