Week 3 Mr. Texas Football Player of the Week: Brock RB Tyler Gray

Congratulations to Brock RB Tyler Gray, the Week 3 winner of the Mr. Texas Football Player of the Week award, presented by Wells Fargo in conjunction with the Advocare V100 Texas Bowl. The 5-9, 170-pound senior ran for 260 yards and six touchdowns in the Eagles’ 42-35 win over Grapevine Faith Christian.

Eagles fans can also be praised for their part in this honor, as they voted often enough to make sure that Tyler received the most votes in the poll on TexasFootball.com.

Congratulations to all 10 candidates for this week’s award: El Paso Eastlake QB Keith Tarango-Lopez, Tyler TK Gorman QB Jake Smith, DeSoto QB Shawn Robinson, Beeville Jones WR Waydale Jones, Whitney QB Devin Wilson, Cibolo Steele QB Xavier Martin, Abilene RB Abram Smith, Waco Connally RB Ronnie Briscoe and Grapevine QB Alan Bowman.

Dave Campbell’s Texas Football is proud to give a weekly Player of the Week award to the most deserving high schooler in the state of Texas. Every Monday at noon, TexasFootball.com will announce ten candidates for that week’s award, based on the previous week’s on-field performance. Fans can vote online at TexasFootball.com’s online poll, where you can see the current vote standings. Voting will close at noon each Friday, with the winner announced on DCTF Live at 12:30pm. The award will be given every week through Week 14.
