Week 13 Player of the Week

Week 13 Winner: Lorena RB Evan Ward
Running back Evan Ward has been Lorena's biggest offensive threat all season, and never was that more true than in a 3A-II regional semifinal game against Coldspring-Oakhurst.
Ward rushed for 234 yards and four touchdowns as Lorena won a thriller, 33-29, to advance to this week's regional final against powerhouse Carthage.
Ward scored the game-winner on a 2-yard run with 2:04 left in the game. Besides his four rushing TDs, Ward also scored on a 13-yard TD reception.
For the season, Ward has 1,351 rushing yards and has surpassed 2,000 total yards.

Noah Copeland, SA Brandeis RB: Rushed for 254 yards, 3 TDs in a 51-14 win over Edinburg North.
LeFrederick Ford, Kirbyville RB: Rushed for 235 yards, 2 TDs in a 27-15 win over Arp.
Antonio Graves, Tex. Pleasant Grove QB: Passed for 253 yards, 2 TDs, and rushed for 178 yards, 1 TD in a 35-19 win over Argyle.
K.C. Niemchi, Katy Cinco Ranch RB: Rushed for 245 yards, 3 TDs in a 49-26 win over Beaumont West Brook.
Tyler Rodriquez, Haskell RB: Rushed for 281 yards, 5 TDs in a 51-35 win over Collinsville.
Josh Schneider, La Grange QB: Passed for 396 yards, 2 TDs in a 36-0 win over Devine.
Traylon Shead, Cayuga RB: Rushed for 316 yards, 3 TDs and became state's career TD leader in a 38-29 win over Lovelady.
Herschel Sims, Abilene RB: Rushed for 274 yards, 4 TDs in a 41-17 win over Cedar Hill.
Evan Ward, Lorena RB: Rushed for 234 yards, 4 TDs in a 33-29 win over Coldspring-Oakhurst.
Scotty Young, Denton Ryan QB: Passed for 429 yards, 7 TDs in a 61-21 win over EP Chapin.
