Week 12 Mr. Texas Football Player of the Week — Texas High QB Riley Russell
Tigers senior TAKES HOME STATEWIDE HONORS FOR WEEK 12 OF THE 2017 TEXAS HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL SEASON.
Congratulations to Texas High QB Riley Russell, the Week 12 winner of the Mr. Texas Football Player of the Week award, presented by Wells Fargo in conjunction with the Academy Sports + Outdoors Texas Bowl. The 6-2, 200-pound senior threw for 371 yards and six touchdowns while running for 125 yards and a score in the Tigers’ 56-49 loss to Highland Park.
Tigers fans can also be praised for their part in this honor, as they voted often enough to make sure that Riley received the most votes in the poll on TexasFootball.com.
