Week 10 Player of the Week
After every weekend of the Texas high school football season, visit this page to find out the candidates for the Player of the Week Award. This honor is awarded to the top performance of the week in Texas High school football. Voting will begin every Monday morning and close Friday at noon.
Week 10 Winner: Crane QB Jordan Cavazos
Crane quarterback Jordan Cavazos had a huge game last Friday in a 48-14 win over Alpine.
Cavazos carried 13 times for 389 yards and five touchdowns as Crane finished the regular season with a blowout win. Cavazos ran for 256 yards and 4 TDs in the first half alone.
The win gave Crane a six-game winning streak heading into the playoffs.

Jordan Baeza, EP Del Valle QB: Passed for 393 yards, 8 TDs in a 63-6 win over Mountain View.
Ted Burns, Pittsburg RB: Rushed for 392 yards, 5 TDs in a 42-25 win over Texarkana Pleasant Grove.
Jordan Cavazos, Crane QB: Rushed for 389 yards, 5 TDs in a 48-14 win over Alpine.
Willie Culpepper, SA Brackenridge RB: Rushed for 275 yards, 4 TDs in a 35-0 win over SA Burbank.
Randall Joyner, Carr. Newman Smith RB: Rushed for 305 yards, 2 TDs in a 70-56 win over Richardson Pearce.
Ethan Morris, Sonora QB: Rushed for 374 yards, 6 TDs and threw for a TD in a 56-36 win over Kermit. Note: These stats were from an early season game.
Mac Morse, Richardson Pearce QB: Passed for 634 yards, 4 TDs in a 70-56 loss to Carrollton Newman Smith.
Miller Pierce, Waller QB: Rushed for 229 yards, 2 TDs, and had key interception in 15-14 win over Brenham.
Matt Santos, Poteet RB: Rushed for 439 yards, 5 TDs in a 42-27 win over Marion.
Hunter Taylor, Whitehouse QB: Passed for 423 yards, 6 TDs in a 42-28 win over Henderson.
