Army Strong Teams of Week 10

Class 5A: Katy Cinco Ranch
It was a night of firsts for the Cinco Ranch Cougars. The 27-21 overtime win over defending state champion Katy High marked the school's first-ever win over their cross-town rivals. It also marked Cinco Ranch’s first-ever district title in football.

Class 4A: Rockwall-Heath
The Hawks won the District 10-4A battle of the unbeatens by defeating Highland Park in a 38-31 thriller. The win snapped Highland Park’s 47-regular-season-game winning streak.

Class 3A: Lorena
The Leopards' road to the 2008 playoffs required a win over District 19-3A front-runner Waco La Vega. Lorena got it done the hard way with a 20-13 upset.

Class 2A: Moody
The Bearcats shocked the 28-point-favorite Crawford Pirates 27-13. The win keeps knocked Crawford — a 2007 regional quarterfinalist — out of the playoff race.

Class 1A: Grapeland
The Sandies honored their 11 seniors properly on senior night with a 27-20 upset win over Cayuga. The win snares Grapeland a share of the 20-1A district title.

Six-Man: Lamesa Klondike
Coming into this season the Klondike Cougars had not won a district game since 2003. Following the 62-44 upset of Loop, Klondike clinched the district’s final playoff spot.

Private Schools: Houston St. John’s
The Mavericks grabbed a little momentum heading into the offseason with a 36-33 win over Dallas Greenhill. It marked their first win of the season and should give them something to build on.
