Congratulations to Texas A&M running back Cyrus Gray and Aledo running back Johnathan Gray for being selected as the coverboys for the 2011 summer edition of Dave Campbell's Texas Football.
Cyrus Gray, a DeSoto product, led the Aggies in rushing a year ago, running for 1,086 yards and 12 touchdowns and helping to spark Texas A&M's mid-season turnaround that resulted in a Cotton Bowl berth.
Johnathan Gray, a senior at Aledo who recently committed to Texas, joins Cedric Benson (2000) as one of two high school players in history to be the main feature of a Dave Campbell's cover. Gray rushed for 3,221 yards and a state record 59 touchdowns in 2010.
