5A: Cibolo Steele
In the one of the premier games in the state this week, it was Steele who rose to the occasion, getting 230 yards of total offense and four scores from QB Tommy Armstrong in a 34-20 win over Converse Judson.

4A: Houston Stratford
The Spartans exploded for 470 yards of offense, including 376 yards passing from QB Jeremiah Briscoe, to upend Magnolia West 51-13 in a crucial District 17-4A game.

3A: Sealy
Trailing 13-6 in with less than nine minutes to play, the Tigers rattled off the game's final 12 points to hand Bellville its first loss of the season, 18-13.

2A: Redwater
The Dragons stunned three-time champ Daingerfield Friday night with a 43-26 win that marked the first victory for a 2A team over Daingerfield in five years. Redwater, which beat Daingerfield for the first time in program history, had three backs top 100 yards rushing and scored 34 points in the second half.

1A: Winters
QB Riley Ripley ran for three scores, and RB Christian Sandoval ran for 159 yards and a score to push Winters past Goldthwaite 36-20 in a critical District 13-1A DI matchup.

Six-Man: Fort Davis
QB Steve Enriquez hit freshman Vincent Perez for a 30-yard touchdown with 42 seconds left to lift the Indians to a 38-34 upset of two-time defending state champion Garden City.
